How do I make a good broth?

1. Always use pure water. Discard any water that is contaminated.
2. Use fresh vegetables and herbs because while simmering the broth, the flavour gets leached in the water.
3.Stick to the exact proportions given in the recipe. For example, if you add excess celery it is going to affect the final flavour.
